Eublemma richardi Holloway sp. n.

Image of [object Object] Holloway ♀ (holotype)
♀ (holotype)

♂ 10mm, ♀♀ 11mm. This species is very similar in colour and facies to quadripunctata, but is slightly larger (cf. 80mm) with more rounded, less angular distal margins to the forewings. The postmedials have the pale component less obvious and generally more ochreous; they are somewhat more basal than in quadripunctata. In the male genitalia the uncus is somewhat larger than in quadripunctata, and the valve is broader with a slightly longer and more digitate central process. In the female genitalia, the ovipositor lobes are shorter and more ovate than in quadripunctata, where they are unusually narrow and acute, and the apodemes of the eighth segment are relatively shorter. The two signa spines in the corpus bursae are more strongly developed.
