Image of [object Object] Holloway ♂ (Peninsular Malaysia)
♂ (Peninsular Malaysia)

♂, ♀ 12mm. This is a similar species to trusmadi in shape and marking, but with pinker grey coloration. It is also much larger and with a central angle to the hindwing margin as well as to that of the forewing. The forewing basal to the medial, and the basal two-thirds of the hindwing are paler than the marginal zones, the pale area of the hindwing being crossed by fine dark fasciae that are straight over their central part. The forewing medial is stronger than the rest, angled subcostally into a triangular mark on the costa. The male genitalia are similar to those of trusmadi but with the triangular process of the valve more equilateral. The female genitalia are also similar to those of trusmadi, though significantly larger with more extensive patches of scobination and also the pair of spines that typifies the genus.
