Diagnosis

The ground colour of the wings is a medium to pale brownish grey. The medial fascia is pale, whitish, strongly curved on the forewing, particularly at one third from the costa, and barely so on the hindwing. In the female, but not the holotype male, the hindwing distal to this fascia is bordered blackish. In both specimens there is a distinctive triangular black mark and one or two more basal black dots in the medial area of the forewing.

Taxonomic note

Poole (1989) retained this species in Autoba.

Geographical range

Borneo.

Habitat preference

The holotype is from Sandakan on the coast of Sabah. A second specimen, a female, was taken at 150m in mixed dipterocarp forest at the foot of G. Mulu.
