Diagnosis

The wings are reddish brown with pale grey and black markings, the black ones forming the discal spot of the forewing and a short series of submarginal chevrons near its apex. These subapical markings are within a broader patch of grey with a more ochreous crescent basal to it. This apical zone is separated from the rest of the wing by a fine grey line that runs anteriorly from the dorsum to arch round towards the anterior of the discal mark, itself edged greyish on the basal side. This arcuate line is continued on the hindwing submarginally, and it thickens at the hindwing dorsum.

Geographical range

Borneo.

The holotype is from G. Poi (Poeh) in Sarawak. In recent surveys a further specimen has been taken at 1200m near limestone pinnacle karst amid montane forest and scrub on G. Api.
