Corgatha faircloughi Holloway sp. n.

Image of [object Object] Holloway ♂ (holotype)
♂ (holotype)

♂, ♀ 7mm. The facies has some similarity to that of brumasa in the extensive white between the antennae, and in the course and punctate black and white nature of the postmedial fasciae. However, the ground colour of the wings is a much deeper rich rufous brown that is broadly darker, blackish, over the apical half of the forewing. There is a pale edge to the distal margins that is bounded basad by a shallowly zigzag black line. The male genitalia have the costal processes of the valves much shorter than in either of the previous two species, that on the left twice as long as that on the right; the saccular processes are not as spatulate as in the other two species and the saccus is apically rounded rather than bluntly acute.
