Corgatha atrimargo Hampson, 1910, Cat. Lepid. Phalaenae Br. Mus., 10: 298.
Diagnosis
This species has a pale, bone-coloured ground to the wings that is irregularly and diffusely fasciated with brown. The distal margins of the wings are edged with dark purplish grey with a blacker inner edge. On the forewing this border is much broader over the apex, very broad in some specimens and with a more rufous interior.
Geographical range
Borneo, Philippines.
Habitat preference
The holotype is from Sandakan on the coast of Sabah. In recent surveys, the species has been taken in swampy coastal and secondary forest near Seria and in dry heath forest at 15m at Telisai in Brunei, and singly (S.J. Willott, unpublished data) in the understorey of primary forest at 170m near the Danum Valley Field Centre in Sabah.
