Corgatha atripuncta Warren
Corgatha atripuncta Warren, 1913, Gross-Schmett. Erde, 11: 260.
Diagnosis
This species is very similar to zonalis in size and colouring, but lacks pale fringes to the wings and has a stronger blackish discal mark. The only male seen has genitalia (slide 20255) that have the valve processes running relatively distally, with the costal process about twice as long and as broad as the saccular one. This male is worn and has the forewing postmedial angled closer to the costa; its association is therefore tentative.
Taxonomic note
There is a similar species in Sulawesi (slide 20766) that is slightly more robust and has more robust but similarly proportioned and ornamented male genitalia.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
All four specimens seen is from the lowlands, mostly from forested areas with some degree of disturbance or from near human habitation.
