Corgatha castanearubra Holloway sp. n.
Corgatha rubra Hampson sensu Holloway, 1976: 15.
♂, ♀♀ 11-12mm. The facies is generally as in zonalis and rubra Hampson, particularly the latter where the margins of the wings have small black triangles on the veins rather than a pale line as in zonalis. The pale postmedials are also more basal and less prominent. The new species has a richer chestnut-brown ground colour than rubra, and this is particularly evident on the underside. The male genitalia have a larger uncus than in rubra. The valves are broader, with the processes arising relatively more basally, the costal one terminating well short of the apex of the cucullus rather than beyond it. The saccular process is longer and straight, rather than slightly incurved.
