Diagnosis

The shape and the facies are distinctive, particularly the central angles to the margins of both wings. The forewing venation has an areole from which R1 arises as well as R2-5. The male genitalia have a spined lobe on the sacculus in addition to the long, slender, upcurved harpe.

Geographical range

Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.

Habitat preference

The species is rare, with only three specimens taken in recent surveys: in primary forest at 170m near the Danum Valley Field Centre, Sabah; in secondary forest and coastal vegetation at Seria in Brunei; and at 500m in hill dipterocarp forest on G. Mulu.
