Arctornis clavimicruncus Holloway sp. n.
♂♂ 14, 15mm. The forewing facies is much as in liguluncus, with the discal dot a little stronger. The frons and legs are also similar, but the palps are more a rufous brown. The male genitalia are diagnostic. The small uncus is shared with the next two species and A. sericea Moore comb. n. (Andamans), though sericea has darker-tipped and more spatulate palps. The differences are in the ornamentation of the valves. In sericea the valves are rectangular, the harpe down-flexed slightly centrally, shorter than the valve, acute apically and slightly bulbous subapically. In this new species the valves are deeper, with the dorsal and distal margins together having an even curve. The harpe is basally sinuous, otherwise straight, expanding to a blunt bulbous apex with sparse scobination.
