Arctornis heteroides Collenette comb. n.
Lymantralex heteroides Collenette, 1938, J. fed. Malay St. Mus., 18 (2): 264.
Diagnosis
There is some sexual dimorphism in heteroides, the females having more irregular, less clearly defined fasciae and wings that are more produced in the centre of the margin. The forewing has oblique postmedial and antemedial fasciae amid a general brown stippling on white. The hindwing has a lens-shaped area at the margin divided off by an arcuate brown line. The venation of the forewing has R1+R2 stalked independently from R3-R5. The harpe of the valve is rather weak, flattened, and in a more dorsal position.
