Diagnosis

This and the next species have similar fine reticulated brown marking on the forewing, but in flora the medial zone is darker, whereas in florella it is paler. A long areole is present in the Rs system, and the valve costa has a diagnostic subbasal process rather than a central angular projection.

Geographical Range

Borneo, Sumatra.

Habitat Preference

All records have been from lowland forest: the species is uncommon.

Biology

The species has been reared from a larva on Durio (Bombacaceae) in Peninsular Malaysia (unpublished IIE records).
