♂ (holotype)

Arctornis mallephrika Holloway sp. n.

♂♂ 11-14mm. In facies this species is very similar to phrika, though the satiny rippling of the forewing is more even, finer, without the broader zone postmedially. The head and palps are more rufous, the latter paler, and the legs lack spots. The species differs markedly in the male genitalia: the uncus is laterally expanded; the valves are much broader distally, less tapered; the process on the right valve is short, broad, hammer-like.
