Taxonomic note

L. polygrapha has been regarded as a synonym of chalybea but examination of type material has established its distinct status and the synonymies set out above.

Geographical range

Sri Lanka, S. India, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra, New Guinea.

Habitat preference

The species has been taken much less frequently than the previous, and from lowland rather than montane localities.
