Diagnosis

The forewings are rich brown with a central, longitudinal, diffusely bordered pale cream streak; the dorsum has a narrow, pale cream band along it that curves into the cream submarginal; the forewing facies has elements in common with that of L. acuda but lacks the subtornal triangle. The genitalia of both sexes are akin to those of acuda but the male uncus is stouter and the lateral lobes of the female lamella vaginalis are narrower, pyriform.
