Diagnosis
The forewing pattern is basically similar to that of leucostriga though the dorsal semicircle is as dark as most of the rest of the forewing; there is a roughly triangular yellowish brown zone on the costa from the postmedial running up to, and including, the reniform.
The basal zone of the hindwing is more distinctly hyaline.
Geographical range
N.E Himalaya, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi, New Guinea.
Habitat preference
During the Mulu survey the species was taken commonly in upper montane forest on G. Mulu; a few specimens were taken in the Mulu lower montane forest and a few in forest at 250m on the lower slopes of G. Api.
