Cyclosia inclusus Walker
Piderus [sic] inclusus Walker, [1865] 1864, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus., 31: 117.
Chalcosia bicolor Moore, 1879, Proc. zool. Soc. Lond., 1879: 390.
Diagnosis
This species, as well as C. eucharia and C. hecabe, have females that resemble Eurema Hübner butterflies, the wings being pale yellow with black borders as illustrated. In inclusus the forewing border is broader, its inner edge weakly concave rather than with a strong Eurema-like central indentation. Males of the species differ markedly both from their females and from each other. The male forewings of inclusus are relatively more elongate, dark brown with pale dull orange markings. These markings form a slightly curved band cutting off the apex in inclusus as compared to two spots set more obliquely but in a similar position in eucharia Jordan.
Taxonomic note
This species, C. eucharia and C. hecabe were placed in a subclade that formed a sister-relationship with the rest of the genus in the analyses of Yen et al. (2005).
Geographical range
