Diagnosis
The forewings are a mixture of rich orange and brown, suffused greyish in places (e.g. towards the forewing apex), and crossed by two oblique, fine, darker fasciae.
The forewing apex is slightly falcate.
Geographical range
Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference
The species is infrequent in lowland forest, including heath forest, secondary forest and plantations (Chey, 1994), and has also been recorded as high as 1200m on G. Kinabalu.
