Eugoa rufibasis Holloway sp. n.

♂ 7mm. This and the next species are closely related, but with somewhat similar facies to uniformis. They differ in that the males have ciliate antennae and a paler zone on the dorsal half of the hindwing, in this species distinctly rufous. They share features of the male abdomen such as conspicuous brushes of narrow scales in the intersegmental membrane between the eighth segment and the genitalia, and rather trapezoid valves with bilaterally asymmetric processes subbasally on the valve costa. This species has the asymmetry more pronounced, the left process larger and both directed more away from the valve. The apices of the valves also differ, the left with only a costal lobe, the right with a more ventral one as well. The aedeagus vesica has two distinct, tight groups of narrow spines.
