♂ (paratype)

Eugoa apiensis Holloway sp. n.

♂♂ 8, 9mm. The facies is similar to that of the previous two species, but the forewings have a slight rufous tinge basally and grade paler towards the margin, where there is some irregular dark brown clouding. There is a faintly darker discal dot. The hindwings are pale grey-brown with anterior modification as in uniformis. The antennae are ciliate. The head and patagia are medium brown. The male genitalia are distinguished by a more sclerotised, rather convolute sacculus, with a short ventral process separated from a broader, more dorsal part. The aedeagus vesica has many short lobes, two long cornuti and one short one.
