Hyposada serendipitatis Holloway sp. n.
♂♀ 10-11mm. This species is smaller than postvittata, with a forewing postmedial more zigzag anteriorly, less regular, with several black sagittate marks interior to the pale component over the anterior half. The submarginal is more clearly defined, fawn, with darker brown basal and black sagittate marks distad; it is more clearly contiguous with the hindwing postmedial. The latter is straighter and with a more definite dark edging distad. The forewing antemedial also has black flecks associated with it, not seen in postvittata. The general facies is also similar to that of astona and hydrocampata, but the pinkish brown marking is more diffuse and irregular, extending close to the cell posteriorly and distally. It occurs also on the margin of the forewing, and centrally and marginally on the hindwing, the central fascia resembling that of the other two species, but being somewhat more basal and less oblique. The male genitalia have the valve costal process strongly bifid as in hydrocampata, but each element is broader, and the more ventral one is considerably shorter than the other. The base of the uncus lacks the spines seen in hydrocampata.
