Hyposada mollis Warren comb. n.
Arisada [sic] mollis Warren, 1912, Novit. zool. 19: 37.
Diagnosis
See H. ineffectaria.
Taxonomic note
Poole (1989) retained mollis in Arasada. However, the curvature of the aedeagus and the structure of the valve costal process indicate that the species is better in Hyposada, where it proves to be closely related to ineffectaria as discussed above (OUMNH: 1265). A Balinese male dissected (slide 21050) had slightly narrower, more oval costal processes with a more robust to conical hook.
Geographical range
Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Bali.
Habitat preference
The only Bornean specimen was taken at 250m in forest on the lower slopes of the limestone G. Api, near the western end of the Melinau Gorge in Sarawak.
