Diagnosis

The very dark red margins of the both wings distinguish the species.

Geographical range

Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.

Habitat preference

Records have been made from the lowlands to 1618m, but the species was particularly frequent on the limestone G. Api during the Mulu survey at 250m and in lower montane forest at 900m.
