Scopula deflavarioides Holloway sp. n.

♂♂ 8-9mm. In facies this species resembles S. deflavaria Warren (Tenimber; Bali, Java, Sumatra, Timor (ssp. calorifica Warren); Sulawesi (ssp. relevataProut)) particularly in the fine, rather wavy fasciation on a yellowish fawn ground. The postmedials are somewhat more emphasised than other fasciae. However, the male genitalia are very different from those of deflavaria (calorificaand relevata males dissected). The valve processes are very short, the sclerotised ones broad. The socii are slender moderate in length (short, broad down-curved, setose in deflavaria). The eighth sternite is reduced in size, the cerata short, not longer than the mappa; (the latter bilobed in deflavaria, the cerata extending more than half its length again beyond it).
