Diagnosis
The facies of both sexes is distinctive, with a paler round patch at the posterior angle of the forewing cell.
Taxonomic note
The male genitalia resemble those of the previous four species from exitelaonwards in the structure of the valves. The aedeagus has a massive spur, much larger than in the poppaea group.
Geographical range
Sundaland.
Habitat preference
This is a common lowland forest species, but is encountered much more frequently in forests such as heath forest on acid soils.
