The male may be represented by a Bornean specimen in the collection of Thomas Witt in Munich rather than by those associated with the name by Jordan (1907) and Yen et al. (2005) as discussed in the generic account. It is illustrated in a digital image by Shen-Horn Yen. Specimen in Witt Museum, Munich.

Geographical range

Peninsular Malaysia, ?Borneo.

Habitat preference

The Bornean male was taken at 1100m in Kalimantan Selatan, 30km E. of Kandangan and 15km N.E. of Loksado at 20°52’ S, 115°38’ E.
