Callizygaena postvitrea Holloway sp. n.
♂ 15mm.
The general appearance is similar to the males from Peninsular Malaysia and Java attributed to syntomoides by Jordan (1907) and Yen et al. (2005), except the hindwing is somewhat more acute apically, and is also extensively hyaline over the area of the CuA system and CuP as illustrated. The thorax and the bases of the wings on the underside lack the yellowish tinge seen in the other males, but there is a red collar at the anterior of the thorax. The coremata between the eighth segment and the genitalia are as in those males (Yen et al., 2005: fig. 44E), and the genitalia are similar in general structure, though differing in proportion: the rectangular processes of the uncus are narrower and less than a third of the length of the tegumen and vinculum rather than much more than a third (see Yen et al., 2005: fig. 39N); the aedeagus in postvitrea is relatively longer, but still slender and sinuous.
