Taxonomic notes

The taxa synonymised with callopistrioides are close in facies and genitalia, though rhabdochlaena from the Philippines has a distinctive white spot associated with the forewing reniform. A darker species, undescribed (slide 14305), flies with callopistrioides in the N.E. Himalaya; it has a more irregular postmedial.*

Geographical range

N.E. Himalaya, Burma, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi.

Habitat preference

The few Bornean specimens seen are from lowland forest localities.
