Diagnosis

The hindwing has its basal half white with a broad brown border; the submarginal white flecks of the forewing are reduced except for the central one which is prominent. See also the generic account.

Taxonomic notes

The above combination renders the Sri Lankan albistriga Hampson a secondary homonym, for which the name Callopistria lanka nom. nov. is proposed.

Geographical range

Sumatra, Java, Bali, Borneo.

Habitat preference

The species is infrequent in lowland rain forest.
