Sauris contorta Warren

Diagnosis
The forewings are darkly fasciated, with an angle to the postmedial as in S. eupitheciata, but there is a squarish buff zone subapically on the costa that is diagnostic and, in the male, a white ovate patch subtornally. The male hindwings are white with distal lobing of the same colour: those of the female are pale grey.
Geographical Range
Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat Preference
A male was taken in lower montane forest at 900m on G. Api, Sarawak, and there is a female in BMNH from inland of Pontianak in Kalimantan.
