Maxates seria Holloway sp. n.

Diagnosis

♂ 10mm, not illustrated.

In size and facies this species is similar to M. obliterata, but a somewhat lighter green.

There is a small notch in the centre of the distal margin of the eighth sternite.

The valve sacculus terminates in a small, blunt, dorsally directed spur just basal to the ventral process.

BRUNEI; 3m. Seria, secondary and coastal veg., 18 May 1978 (Lt. Col. M.G. Allen), BM geometrid slide 17490.

Geographical range

Borneo, ?Sumatra (slide 8670).

Habitat preference

The only specimen is from an area of coastal and secondary forest.
