Diagnosis
The forewing apex is acute in this medium species. The male is uniform fawn, the female more speckled and with darker zones distal to the postmedials. Below, the fasciae are finely marked, the postmedial not conspicuously broadened. In the male genitalia the upper arm of the valve bears a digitate process centrally.
Geographical Range
Himalaya, Japan, Taiwan, Burma, Borneo, Java.
Habitat Preference
This species is commonest in the upper montane zone but ranges from 1000m to 2500m (on G. Kinabalu).
