Eugnathia diagonalis Hampson comb. rev.
Lophoruza diagonalis Hampson, 1910, Cat. Lepid. Phalaenae Br. Mus., 10: 229.
Diagnosis
The wings are variegated ochreous and pinkish grey, fasciated paler, the forewing dominated by the strong, straight, white posterior edge of the costal band, within which are set obliquely two further, fine straight white lines. The ochreous colour is strongest medially, particularly on the hindwing.
Taxonomic note
The male genitalia are atypical, relatively large and extensively sclerotised. The tegumen is narrowed and has unusual, slightly jagged shoulders. The valves are triangular, sclerotised to the acute apex, which has a slight lateral spur subbasally. The saccular process is more typical.
