Diagnosis
The facies is distinctive, with a broad basal area of pinkish grey on both wings that grades to dark red at its distal border, this dark red more or less disintegrating into the yellow margin.
Geographical Range
Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi; New Guinea (ssp. pulverimargo).
Habitat Preference
Both specimens taken in recent surveys were from the lowlands: at Semengok near Kuching; in secondary vegetation at Milepost 1 on the Labi road in Brunei.
