Cerynea sepiata Warren
Cerynea sepiata Warren, 1913, Gross-Schmett. Erde, 11: 235.
Diagnosis
The facies is somewhat as in Toanopsis Prout, particularly the unnamed female on p. 95, but the paler zones basal to the postmedials are more definite, and are crossed by strong dark medial fasciae. The postmedials have a somewhat doubled structure with a paler central band, and that of the forewing is obtusely angled. The underside fasciation is more irregular than other Cerynea or species of Toanopsis Prout.
Taxonomic note
It is possible that this species is better placed in Toanopsis Prout, but the abdomen of the only specimen is missing.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
The only specimen is the holotype female from G. Marapok in Sabah. No altitude is given.
