Chusaris albipunctalis Rothschild, 1915, Lep. Rep. B.O.U. Exp., p. 16, syn. n.
Diagnosis
See Zurobata rorata.
Taxonomic note
The male genitalia and facies of albipunctalis (New Guinea) are as in typical intractata.
Geographical range
N.E. Himalaya to Seram, New Guinea.
Habitat preference
Three specimens were taken during the Mulu survey, two in hill dipterocarp forest at 500m on G. Mulu and one in forest on limestone at 250m on the lower slopes of G. Api. There is also an older specimen from the coastal town of Sandakan, and the holotype, taken by A.R. Wallace in Sarawak, was probably also from the lowlands. Chey (1994) recorded the species in low numbers from a variety of softwood plantations near Brumas in the lowlands of Sabah.
