Diagnosis

The largest Bornean Toxoproctis, anna has distinctive coarsely black-speckled yellow forewings, with narrow, irregular antemedial and postmedial fasciae where the speckling is absent. The hindwings are more extensively dark grey. The male genitalia have distinctively shaped valves.

Geographical range

Borneo, Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia (Barlow colln).

Habitat preference

The original material from G. Kinabalu is without altitude data. A further specimen has been taken at 500m in hill dipterocarp forest on G. Mulu.
