Metaemene satellita Holloway sp. n.

Image of [object Object] Holloway ♂ (holotype)
♂ (holotype)

♂♂, ♀♀ 8-10mm. The forewing facies has the more distal pink patches in a different configuration to niasica and all other species in the complex: PMa is absent; PMc forms a more or less continuous but irregularly bordered oblique bar with T. Black dots Pd1, Pd2 and Ad are enlarged, and may have small satellite dots to their anterior. In the male genitalia, the ventrally directed spine on the tegumen is sinuous. The valve process is single, apically rounded, but usually has an interior tooth. The basal part of the interior margin of the cucullus is produced into an acute process. The spoon of the aedeagus vesica is strongly concave, with two unequal spines on the opposing part. The female genitalia have a drop-like sclerite in the neck of the corpus bursae with a moderate hooked spine at its apex, and with a much smaller one near the base of that.
