Metaemene albigrisea Holloway sp. n.
♀ 10mm. The species is similar in general appearance to the taxon derufata Warren (Java; see under atrigutta below) in the white forewings and greyish hindwings, except the forewings lack a black spot in the centre of the postmedial zone and have the central one on the distal margin doubled. The hindwings are a distinctly darker grey, with an even darker spot on the margin at the tornus. The underside of all wings is medium grey, whereas only the forewing is shaded grey in derufata. In the genitalia, the pouches on each side of the ostium are divided into two (entire in derufata (slide 21348) and the atrigutta group), and the neck of the corpus bursae is irregularly sclerotised but with no distinct spines evident.
