Image of Manoba melanomedia Inoue ♂

Manoba melanomedia Inoue comb. n.

Meganola melanomedia Inoue, 1991: 76.

The forewing is very similar to that of chirgwini. The male genitalia have the valve shape similar to that of carrei, but the harpe is angled at right angles rather than obtusely and is distally more acute, spine-like.

The aedeagus is twice as deep, has an oblique apex and, dorsally, a central saddle-like declivity. M. triparallelinea van Eecke comb. n. (Sumatra) may also be related as the male genitalia are similar.

However, the aedeagus lacks the declivity, and the harpe has a distinct distal lobe.

The forewing facies of triparallelinea is more as in the next group, lacking the transverse medial band and having more oblique, finer fasciation.
