Manoba greenwoodi Holloway sp. n.

♂ 7mm.

This species has relatively short and deep, triangular forewings that are pale brown with darker shading marginally and irregularly in the costal zone, most strongly over the basal half.

The hindwings are slightly darker brown than the forewing ground.

The male genitalia resemble those of punctilineata, but the harpe is small, acute.

The aedeagus has a reflexed apical lobe, but no ornamentation of the vesica.

SARAWAK: Gunong Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D.Holloway et al.), Site 13, February, Camp 2, Mulu, 500m. 401464, mixed dipt. for., BM noctuid slide 17520.

Geographical range

Borneo.

Habitat preference

The only specimen is from hill dipterocarp forest.
