Manoba cowleyi Holloway sp. n.

Diagnosis

♂♂ 6-7mm. Externally the species is similar to bulli except the dark mark on the forewing costa is more rectangular than triangular, and may be opposite a slight darkening on the dorsum. The valve shape is falcate as in chamberlaini, but the harpe is shorter, broader, less strongly angled. The aedeagus is short, with a very small triangular spine at the apex. The vesica lacks ornamentation.

Geographical range

Borneo.

Habitat preference

The species is common in lower montane forest on limestone. Many other specimens are not included in the paratype series as they have not been dissected.
