Diagnosis

Confusion with the next species is possible but the forewing discal spot is picked out paler, the oblique pale antemedial is less prominent, more irregular, and the pale submarginal is diagnostically angled subtornally; the outer margin of the yellow band on the hindwing is more excavate.

The single male was taken at light in lowland forest at 250m on the limestone G. Api, G. Mulu National Park, Sarawak..
