H.S. Barlow reared out a female larva seeking a pupation site. It was typical of the genus with dark brown and rufous brown secondary setae. The cocoon was loose, with blackish, coalescent strands of coarse silk. The pupa was dark brown with prominent verrucae, the setae a paler brown, radiating out adpressed from the margin of each on most abdominal segments, but being denser, more erect, over the thorax and at the apex of the abdomen.
