Labanda quadralis Holloway sp. n.
♂♀ 14-15mm.
The forewing facies is a very similar combination of green and black to that of saturalis, but is distinguished by a more clearly defined dark subbasal patch on the costa, edged by fine, pale lines, themselves often confined by even finer and darker edging.
The pale line defining the basal edge of this rather square patch is straight, and that on the distal edge has a strong if irregular loop distad in the dorsal zone posterior to the cell.
The pale submarginal line at the apex is straighter and narrower as in the next species, with which it also shares a more clear and entire grey line within the dark margin.
The genitalia are as in saturalis. The Sri Lankan species L. achine Felder has similar facies to quadralis apart from a diffusely but distinctly darker transverse zone in the medial area.
