Etanna viridifascia Holloway sp. n.
♂♂, ♀♀ (Peninsular Malaysia) 8-9mm.
The forewing facies is somewhat atypical of Etanna, with an irregular green postmedial and a similar antemedial dividing the wing into grey basal, medial and marginal thirds; the green fasciae are edged finely with black.
However, the male genitalia are consistent with placement in Etanna, though the eighth abdominal segment is deep, each sclerite frame-like and containing a prominent pair of hair-pencils.
The uncus and tegumen are complex, with fine bands of thickening; indeed the former may be vestigial.
The valves are reduced to very narrow strips, and the scaled process is similarly long and slender.
The large saccus and tegumen/vinculum junction are typical of Etanna also.
The aedeagus vesica has a single cornutus, only seen elsewhere in the genus in vailima.
