Risoba samarinda Holloway sp. n.

Diagnosis

♂♂ 18-19mm, probable ♀♀ 18mm.

The male has the forewings a darker green than in the previous two species, the white markings more clearly delineated, with a more reticulate submarginal zone, the submarginal fascia being crossed with white delineation of the veins (also seen in the medial area), most broadly just posterior to the apical brown patch. This broader bar is seen also in the probable females (excluded, however, from the type series), and these have the apical brown patch similar to that of the males. The medial area of the wing is a distinctly paler green, and the postmedial, though more strongly represented as a pale line than in repugnans, is nevertheless more obscure and more curved. In the male genitalia the aedeagus vesica is relatively small, with six cornuti, bluntly triangular, set in a row along the distal part. The valve lacks a costal process. The more distal ventral process is a lobe rather than a spine and set more towards the centre.
