Diagnosis

The forewings are somewhat similar to those of calaina but a more emerald green and with finer black fasciation that does not include blocks; the postmedial is doubled over the central part by a fainter inner line. The hindwing is more obscured with brown over the paler basal part. The valve of the male genitalia is similar to that of the previous two species but the aedeagus lacks a central comb of spines, and the diverticulum of the vesica has several fine spicules at its tip.

Geographical range

Borneo, and noted for Sumatra by Martini & Thony (1993).

Habitat preference

Most recent material has been taken between 75m and 450m in the lowland forests of Brunei, but Martini & Thony (1993) recorded one at 1600m on G. Kinabalu.
