Retina constrictus Walker

Diagnosis
The facies is similar to that of the species corculum and gemina treated under Pidorus but the wings are distinctly elongated, and the pale band of the forewing meets the dorsum just short of the tornus rather than at it. The forewing costa is more strongly curved over its distal half.
Taxonomic note
The analyses of Yen et al. (2005) indicated a close relationship with the type species of Retina as discussed in the generic account.
Geographical range
Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Thailand.
Habitat preference
Specimens seen are from Bidi in the lowlands of Sarawak and from G. Kinabalu without altitude data.
