Diagnosis
This is a striking, sexually dimorphic species with the forewing medial band reduced to costal and subdorsal markings. The hindwing is diagnostically bright yellow apart from the dorsum. The female forewing is rich medium brown, that of the male broadly creamy white in a transverse, oblique central zone.
Geographical Range
Borneo.
Habitat Preference
Records from G. Kinabalu are from 1620-1930m. During the Mulu survey H. albodecorata was only taken on G. Api in montane forest from 900m to 1500m. The species is also known from Bukit Retak in Brunei (taken at 1618m), and there is a single specimen from 300m in Ulu Temburong.
